Title: Be Ready for a Fight

1 TIMOTHY 1:18-20

Timothy was not only in a spiritual war, he was also in a severe tumultuous storm.  He watched those around him fall victim and prey to the wiles of Satan.  Paul warned Timothy of the catastrophe and challenged him to be ready for a fight.

C. What to Heed– “which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander;”

III. The Charge to Satan (v20)

Conclusion:

Ministry is not for the faint of heart.  In today’s polished, professional world of ministry, many want to be CEO’s, presidents, promoters, marketeers, coaches, and psychologists.  God has called us to be servants, laborers, soldiers, and warriors.  If you fail to prepare for the fight, you are headed toward defeat.
